What a darling dog you turned out to be! When Scooter became a family member of the Gillispie’s he was only 6 weeks old and weighed 4 pounds. Scooter was a bright fawn colored miniature pincher. Even though Scooter was a little dog, he thought he was the biggest dog in the neighborhood. Scooter had several health problems after we purchased him. Then we figured out that Scooter had come to us from a puppy mill. But that didn’t stop us from helping Scooter through his tough times. There where many doctor appointments for Scooter, but Scooter was a tough little guy, and would always pull through. Scooter had many friends, and enjoyed the outdoors. Some of the things Scooter enjoyed doing was, camping, hiking, riding on the 4 wheelers, and going to the lake. He always knew what you were talking about…you could say were going camping and his ears would perk up and he was the first one to the door. Or, I would say one of the kids names, and say they were here and he would go look out the front door. I would come home and tell him, let’s go potty and he would run out the back door and go potty. When daddy would come home Scooter would jump up on the couch and lay his head back on his chest and give him a big hug. That was one thing about Scooter, he knew how to give you a big hug, if you picked him up,he would give you a big hug. Scooter also found out that the door stopper spring would make a noise when he hit it with his paw,so we taught him that if he would ring the bell (the door stopper spring)he could get a treat! He was probably one of the brightest dogs we ever had,and for sure he showed his love. Scooter only weighed 10 pounds full grown, and he was 12 years old and Scooter’s health finally caught up to him. We didn’t want to say goodbye but the time had come and we had to say goodbye. Rest in peace my little one and someday we will see you in heaven!
